Italian is by far the main language of Rome. There are also many people there who speak English, French and other languages because of tourism.

The officlal currency in Rome is the Euro. This is the medium of exchange for goods and services in Rome, the capital city of Italy and consists of coins and notes in various denominations.

There are five Patron Saints in Rome:

Lawrence, Martina, Paul, the Apostle Peter and the Apostle Philip Neri.

A lot of holidays are celebrated in most European countries but more so in Italy (August 15 and November 1), whereas others (e.g. Pentecost, Good Friday) are important elsewhere, but are not celebrated at all in Italy. There is even one holiday, San Pietro and Paolo, which is strictly local. This holiday (June 29) is celebrated in honor of the patron saints of the city of Rome, and only affects the Italian capital.
